"Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America."  To celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, also referred to as National Latinx/Latine Heritage Month, the HFHS Library wanted to share some resources!  

Mexican author Cristina Rivera Garza wins a 2024 Pulitzer Prize

"Best known for novels such as “Nadie me verá llorar” (“No One Will See Me Cry”), Rivera Garza, 59, won the Pulitzer in the category of memoirs or autobiographies — becoming the first Mexican ever to win a Pulitzer for literature."
